The Treasure Island Resort is a luxury hotel, located on the center of the Vegas "Strip", adjacent to its sister-resort, the Mirage. It was built in 1993 with a detailed pirate theme, the centrepiece of which is a live sea battle between two ships. The sumptuous guest rooms are large, classically styled and thoughtfully appointed, with upscale amenities like high-speed Internet connection and marble bathtubs plus separate marble showers. The hotel has seven restaurants offering a range of dining experiences, from gourmet cuisine at the Buccaneer Bay Club, with a view of the sea battle, to Italian American dishes at Francesco's Trattoria.
